Did you know that because organic farming doesn’t use petroleum-based synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, it could remove 7,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from the air each year and store it in an acre of farmland? If all 434 million acres of American cropland was converted to organic, that would be the equivalent of getting rid of 217 million cars, or almost 88% of all cars in the country today.

Café Loco is run by Michael Lenox. This is his tenth year at the café, after two years as a chef at Oona’s in Bellows Falls and 20 years as a chef in Florida.

Michael says stop in and let him delight you with one of his unique daily specials. A few favorites: Howlin’ Wolf’s BBQ corn crepes, Phillipi Creek gator tail, The Pub’s grouper wrap and his own Southwest tortilla.

Sit inside the cafe, outside on the porch or at a table, or take your food to go.

Open seven days: May – December 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sundays: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
