We've shown that organic practices can do better than anyone thought at sequestering carbon, and could counteract up to 40% of global greenhouse gas output. – Paul Hepperly, Research Director at Rodale Institute.

Harlow Farm has been in our family since 1918, and has been certified organic since 1985. We grow much of the produce sold here. “We” are the two Harlow brothers and their families: Dan, who runs the farmstand, and Paul, who owns Harlow Farm and Kestrel Farm, both located in Westminster. A sister, Susan, makes many of the jams and preserves sold at the stand.

The people who work here are an important part of the operation, too. Many people from the community and from other countries have worked on the farm and the farmstand over the years. The farm and farmstand wouldn’t be here without their hard work, ingenuity and spirit.

Harlow Farmstand has been on this site since 1991. It replaced a stand that had been operated by Paul and before that in the 1940’s, by our grandfather, Paul G. Harlow. The new one gave us more light and more room.  We added on in 1999, doubling the stand area and starting a café.
